Taking in the view

I had the first brisk walk I've had in over a week, and it felt fantastic to get the ol' body moving again!  I left just before 8am and wondered if I should wear my jacket or not and was glad I did! About 5 minutes into my walk, I was wishing I'd brought my gloves too. Crazy! The wind coming off the water was chilly! Much more bearable than the heat we had recently.
I admired this guy's posture as he sat on the edge of the dock. A nice place to sit with a lovely view across the harbour.
A busy couple of hours when I got home, preparing a galette for supper, washing the kitchen floor, and pulling the spinach plants and gathering the leaves to freeze. I was just about finished with the spinach when G and neighbour Bill pulled in, so we sat in the garden and had coffee. After Bill left, we had lunch then spent a couple of hours in the garden. I trimmed a two of tomato plants and G trimmed the fig trees and the rest of the tomato plants.
Bill had discovered some moisture around the inside of two of his doors, and G had gone up earlier in the week to have a look. He discovered rot a good way up the door jamb and on the floor, so he offered to help Bill replace the doors and fix the damage. This morning he picked up Bill and they went to town to check out doors. They're ordered and will arrive in a couple of weeks. We've both been busy bees!
