Anniversary rose.

We got this lovely rose from friends when it was our Silver Wedding Anniversary. It’s really established now, many years on. Today they dropped off the rose “Our Dream” at the home of our older son and fiancé, who’re getting married this month. A lovely gift.

We did a bit of tidying up in the house.

Finished reading a book - a portrayal of life on a Hebridean island just over a hundred years ago. The culture and prejudices of the times are marbled throughout the story, which is quite shocking.

Younger son collected some items for our family wedding from a shop in Glasgow. His brother was pleased with them.

Scottish Government Covid19 briefing at lunchtime. A more canny easing of restrictions (than Westminster have intimated) was restated, and some targeted measures will likely remain a for while. There’s a good piece in the Lancet citing five main concerns with Westminster’s plan to lift all restrictions in England in mid July at this stage of the pandemic.
