Babies in a cherry tree

I received a text this morning informing me that I had come into contact with someone who had tested positive for Covid. This can only have happened on the train to or from London on Monday. The first and only time I have travelled on a train for more than a year and, as we were due to go away for the weekend, that has been cancelled and the money lost.

I was about to photograph the first ever cherries we have had on a small tree, when I noticed lots of small insects on the leaves, I had to stand on a small stepladder to take the images. Google says that they are baby ladybirds, please correct me if you know different.
