Grist To The Mill . . .

Huge mural on the wall of a Georgetown tells the story of the town . . . "This mural portrays George Kennedy (1799-1870), the fonder of Georgetown who built a saw and grist mill near this site. Behind him can be seen Wilber Lake, a millpond which later filled the area at the base of Mill Street, and an early 1900s view of Main Street looking northward." Not sure when it was painted (too lazy to check the Internet), by Michelle Loughery, but it was restored by Ruth Hardie three years ago - we saw her doing the work . . .

I'd been meaning to take this picture for some time, but in the summer the trees obliterate the image and every other time I'd forgotten the wide angle lens.

It is better viewed BIGGER
