Dumplings ahoy!

Tonight the menu at the Abergavenny Community Canteen was vegetable stew and dumplings, followed by orange and almond pud with yoghurt. Pay what you can afford and the profits go (on this occasion) to Toilet Twinning. We raised £220.

I was in charge of the dumpling production line. Here are the first 33 of a total of 98, ready for the steamer. We had about forty people at the meal - should have been fifty but some cried off because of a rugby match or I don't know what. Those ones missed a good meal.

My four dumpling rehearsals paid off, but I think OB will be glad not to have dumplings for lunch for the forseeable future!
