They've come a long way....

Bella and Evan have grown up visiting me, taking strolls around my neighborhood. They're familiar with the statuary, the shops, and the treats (ice cream, macarons, boba tea, toy shop, playgrounds). For the past year and a half they couldn't visit, and now they're back and familiarizing themselves with old landmarks they haven't seen in ages. This warmly humorous St. Francis was at first frightening to Bella, but now she's at ease with it and fond of the big birds and the smiling saint. Her brother (Extra) loves to sit in the saint's lap.

Their mom is working on Wednesdays now, so they'll be joining me whenever their dad is out of town on a Wednesday. I don't mean to blip pictures of them every time they visit, but today we had a great time going back to all the neighborhood haunts they know and love.
