King Of Cornwall

I was quite taken yesterday with King Doniert's Stone which consists of two pieces of a decorated 9th century cross. We saw it near St Cleer on Bodmin Moor. The inscription is believed to commemorate Dungarth, King of Cornwall who died around 875. I had to look it up when I got home and there are spaces beneath it, either an oratory or tin works.

There is so much more that I want to see in Cornwall, I’m going to give it a day or so before I suggest an excursion for this coming Friday or Saturday.

Elsewhere, we had a ‘recovering’ Sunday, lazy morning before putting up replacement solar powered garden lighting. A roast dinner before some laundry management and slumping in front of the TV.
