Little Owl on the roof

I was going to blip the new wooden lintel which we’ve just had put in the outhouse. The mason who did the job arrived and told us that sadly he was going out of business, but he’d finish the job, and could we please pay him in cash? Then he disappeared at 1pm and has still not returned by 11pm to collect his van! If it rains overnight all his sand and tools will get wet.
Anyway, I decided that the owl on the roof was rather cute. I spent quite a while leaning out of the window in the gîte bathroom, seeing three owls in total which are living in the broken roof of the barn opposite!
