New Blooms

I woke up 10 minutes before my alarm this morning, so I left a bit earlier and grabbed some food on my way to the first garden of the day. I do 2 gardens on a Wednesday. I’ll be honest, it wasn’t the healthiest of breakfasts. I had pain au chocolat. There wasn’t much choice in the shop and nowhere else was open yet.

When I arrived at the first place, the lady asked if I fancied walking the dogs first. I didn’t mind, so that’s what we did. When we got back, I weeded and she swept. She had the grass mowed yesterday and the guy always leave bits of grass all over her patio, so she has to sweep it all up.

We had a coffee once we were done. She asked if I’d like to walk the dogs next week too. I said sure because I quite like it. I think she finds it easier to walk them with someone else rather than having them both. Maybe we’ll do that every week now, I don’t know.

After I left, I drove somewhere to have some lunch. I had about 20 minutes before I needed to be at the next garden. 

Big project today at the next garden. Making a terrace/rockery by the front entrance. Very muddy and we kept changing our minds on what to do haha. Doing a proper terrace wouldn’t have worked the way we wanted, so it’s now going to be a rough terrace and rockery. We’ll put weed matting down and get it planted up. It’ll them be finished off with forest bark. Hopefully it’ll look really good when we’re finished :)

The garden belongs to my friends parents. I’ve been there almost a year now. My friends Mum was helping me today (she often does when it’s a big job). She was telling me about the plans for the area behind. We’ll be planting up a hedgerow in the Autumn. They’ll be bare-root trees, so there’s not much digging involved to get them in the ground, but there’ll probably be about 1000 to do! Something to look forward to I guess hahahaha

When I got home, I had a bath, so I wouldn’t be aching too much after all the digging and raking. I put my pjs on and watched some tv. I say watched, it was on in the background. I was just scrolling through Instagram haha I was hungry, so had some supper.

This morning, I fancied some Strawberries. I saw some in the shop, but there was no price. I bought one other thing in that shop and knew the price. The strawberries were over £4! Crazy price! I just paid though haha So, for dessert, I had strawberries and cream.

I did some washing too. I have some striped t-shirts which I wear for gardening or everyday sometimes. I say some, I think it’s about 15! It’s basically my signature look. I’m known as the one with the striped top or the one with red hair haha Anyways, they all needed washing. There’s too many for one load, so I split them into 2 loads and put the first one in.

My Mum is staying at my sisters tonight. She’s gone up to help sort out the rest of the unpacking. She usually puts the ducks in at night, so as she’s not here, I had too. They’re house has 3 compartments, one for each duck. I only opened the doors on 2 of them because it’s awkward to get them out if they all run into the other one. They all ran into the middle one. I managed to get Dylan out, but he annoyingly ran up the bank. I got Gwyn out and into the other section and Dylan finally came down and went in the one I had kept closed (I opened the door when he ran up the bank) Thomas stayed put in the middle one. They were all in, so I shut the doors and put the covers on. That’s a task in itself. They are really awkward! I did it though, eventually. All duckies are safely asleep in Duckingham Palace until morning :) 

It’ll be time for me to go to bed soon haha
