Preparing for San Juan

The 24th of June is San Juan and it's marked by fireworks, bonfires and a huge amount of fire crackers. The preparations for street bonfires you can see here. I must admit it's not my favorite day here, but I might have to change my mind now that we realise it's actually Bb's Saint's day, with his middle name being John. A colleague mentioned it to him today and it was like, duh, of course, after 30 years of living here!!

We kept our distance from the gatherings in the street as we headed home from our walk.
