Diary of an Edinburgher

Bin find no 72

Newsworthy: JR did not go to the gym today! I did three bike rides.

JR took him for a big long walk while I watched tennis. Then I felt guilty so I took him out at the beginning of the Shapovalov/Khachanov game. I could see it was going to be a long one, so I was quite safe going out after a few games. Sure enough, it was still going when I came back - the winner (Shapovalov) should surely stand a very good chance against Djokovic.

I only walked about 3,000 steps (felt like more), but I was away for ages. I chatted to a man out mowing his grass because I admired his orange combi van. The best colour. Then I saw neighbours I haven’t seen for ages sitting out at their front door, so I sat in the garden and we had a catch up. Actually, it was Suzie who had told me about the back specialist who did wonders for her. I visited him, and he was a good help - he also gave me a name for my ‘condition’, which every other specialist and consultant I have seen for the past five years did not. So I had wanted to thank her anyway. Archie sat quielty and didn’t bark or fidget. He’s actually very patient.

This was free to take home. I resisted.

Big match tonight. May the best team win!
