These boots were made for walking
I’ve had these trainers for at least 8 years. Probably longer. I used to change my trainers after I’d run for around 500 miles in them as we are told we should. I used to run quite a lot. There are several reasons why I don’t anymore and that might be for another blip sometime in the future.
Now I walk. I walk on my treadmill. ( for a while I called it the Dreadmill but it was pointed out that it was important to keep language positive especially around something which I didn’t feel was overly positive. So now I walk. I started ( for the umpteenth time) to try and stick to a routine. The decision was to walk for 2 miles every day and so far I’ve managed this for a month - bar 5 days. I was surprised and a bit disappointed that I’d not done as many as 5 days but each day I didn’t walk had a viable reason attached to it.
Interestingly since starting this new regime my blood pressure has gone down to the normal range consistently so I’m feeling pretty pleased with that.
Anyway these old trainers keep me going.
