Castle Bromwich Hall and Gardens

I got lost. My Satnav was confused (I blame HS2).

I finally picked up the signs as I approached Castle Bromwich. I had a little time before the latest deluge and I wandered through beautiful lush alleys of perennials, wild flowers and roses. 

It’s a restored English Baroque garden (1680-1762). A country estate in the city.

The gardeners had several periods of furlough and the weeds made the most of it, they say. Mind you, they’ve now sorted it - and I totally recommend a visit.
