Spot the Difference

Helleborus orientalis, the Lenten Rose, in full flower now, produces all sorts of surprises as the plants gradually seed forwards, into the edge of the lawn. I love the spotted ones!

The flowers were looking down today, cold and windy as it was, so I plucked a few for a dish on the kitchen table. I once saw a bowl like this with a dozen very different hellebore flowers in it .... stunning.
