Breakfast time

Not sure what the critter (a woodlouse?) nuzzling into this scabious flower is up to but there doesn’t seem to be any damage. I love a scabious, it’s been flowering for months already and that colour is just divine.
Another chilly, rainy summer’s day in Cambridgeshire, I’m wondering how the tomatoes and courgettes will do this year, they’re very slow. C’mon guys!
In jam news: had an enjoyable couple of hours last night prepping 3.5kg gooseberries for my little jam business, I’ll make some up next month. Gooseberry & Elderflower jam is always a winner!
