Wet, again
Absolutely throwing it down when I got up this morning so a walk round the village was as far as we went.
Packed the car and got the cottage ready for the daughter, she will arrive Saturday for a week. I like her to have nothing to do when she arrives so everything fresh, bed made, towels out, her dogs blanket in Hetty’s bed.
Wipers on all the way home. Stopped at services and had a message from someone I worked with years ago asking if I was available to meet for a coffee next week, interesting, so I said yes.
Walked with daughter and dogs and it didn’t rain.
Only been away a week and the garden has grown, so many apples on the tree and I couldn’t believe the size of the rhubarb and the amount of gooseberries. The gooseberry bush was netted but something has tried to take it off and has succeeded with the black current bush and eaten most of them. Strawberries also stolen. Think we will have super fat squirrels around.
