St Clement.

This afternoon during a period when the rain was falling and the wind was blowing, I stepped into St Clements church in Ashampstead for a few minutes. The picture is of St Clement who I have discovered was a member of the church in Rome in the first century. He was imprisoned and is said to have led a ministry among his fellow prisoners. Then he was executed by being tied to an anchor and thrown into the sea. Hence the anchor at his feet in this picture.
