Things to Take
We saw today that Germany is taking the UK off the 'variant of concern' list as of tomorrow, and people who are fully vaccinated will not have to quarantine. Suddenly it looks possible that we may be able to go to Hamburg for a family wedding at the end of the month.
I'm thinking of all the things we need to take: a new-home crocheted lap blanket, a couple of knitted toys, two books for the expected baby (for September) and possibly a knitted baby jumper if I get it done it time.
But we won't be able to take Mark's lily or cactus with us on a plane. I'm not sure if we'd be allowed to take them even if we were going by car.
The cactus is very old. When Mark bought it he was about ten, and it had a dried flower glued to the top. It's flowered properly once since then, and had to have surgery for a rotten bottom, but it's still alive. It's called Fred.
