Gently down the stream

Containing seeds

These are a few seedpods from wildflowers.  Left to right (if I am!) they are: white campion, ragged robin, Welsh Poppy and cowslip.  The actual seeds you see here are mostly white campion, with the few little red ones probably ragged robin.  The poppy pepperpots have not released any so far and the cowslip seeds haven't come out to play quite yet either.

I collected this modest little lot because I'm hoping they will grow in my garden, amongst the long grass, but I'm very puzzled about when to scatter them.  Advice seems to be to sow in spring, but if they've already ripened and would naturally fall from the plant about now, I'm pretty certain this is the moment to scatter them.  Do any of you have any advice?

So this is my entry for today's TinyTuesday and very many thanks to osuzanna for hosting.  As you can see, I'm also tagging them for WildflowerWeek21_15.

Love to you all  xx
