Taking flight

The garden was busy today. The starlings were as nervy as ever and kept taking flight en masse for no reason as the far more sensible blackbirds just carried on eating.

We had a new visitor to the garden - a woodpecker (extra). The photo is a bit blurry as I had to take  it through the window so he didn’t fly away.  He was busy pecking at the lawn for quite a while.

Thanks for the likes and hearts on the cardboard cutouts. We are now trying to find them a good spot in the house to reside!
