The Nith's bore

Well we thought it would be, but it wasn't.  We waited and watched for a re- enactment  of the tide rushing up the Nith estuary  causing a small, but powerful  wave called a bore. It has a fast speed and although  not big, has an obvious  power. We did see it the last time when we were here, but the water was so calm today, it just rose and no bore. Never mind, the two Egrets kept me amused, with all the other birdlife  around to keep me guessing,  I could easily have missed it to be honest.
