Dreich (part 2)

A lovely lie in this morning, well until 8am which is a lie in in my world!

We decided to head out for a few hours so wandered down to Ocean Terminal for a spot of brekkie and then jumped on a bus with the intention of visiting the museum on Chambers Street where neither of us have been to for a long time.
The bus was heading along princes street so we jumped off and walked up the Bridges. The weather changed from a light drizzle to driving sleety rain and we were drenched.
Arrived at the museum only to find that it had been closed due to a power cut in the area since 1st thing in the morning so we couldn't get in.
What a nightmare for them. A wet saturday and they couldn't open up. Some power company's heads will roll i'm sure.

So what to do instead? We wandered soggily and despondently back down to Princes Street with the idea of a coffee and a cakey but because of the weather that's what thousands of other people were thinking of too.
Everywhere was packed out so we just jumped on a bus back home again.
What a waste of time!!!!!

Never mind, a cosy afternoon to look forward to with the 6 Nations on and then some saturday evening telly.

This blip is of the statue of a Royal Scot Grey on horseback in the gardens with the castle in the background. You can see how gloomy, wet and sleety it is. Taken with the iPhone so not the crispest of pics but still very atmospheric. The greeny streak is on the rock and not just on my photo.
