WE DID IT!!!!!!

After many months of hard work and lots of training sessions the Somerset Young Farmers Junior Public Speaking team, which I train, managed a spectacular win today . They are now the National Federation of Young Farmers  winners of this competition! They competed yesterday against the final top ten teams in the UK . What an achievement! 

It has been rather a rocky road the past 10 days with the whole team going down with Covid and then a last minute substitution on Tuesday! At one stage I didn’t even know if they would be well enough to compete. Sadly for one member she was unable to take part as Covid was still giving her problems. Such a shame as her hard worked got this team to the finals. But all credit to our last moment substitution who did a terrific job. 

Our Chairman Zoe also managed to bag the best Chairman of the day award too. The marks were tight at the top with only one mark between 1st, 2nd and 3rd place!! 

I am one very, VERY  HAPPY trainer!!!!
