ARTIST SUED OVER INVISIBLE SCULPTURE
Do you remember Byron's Invisible Sculpture? It was one of the most popular works in the recent show at The Uckfield Contemporary Gallery.
Well, Byron has just read that Salvatore Garau – producer of the sculpture that was Byron's inspiration – is being sued by a Florida man who claims to have invented Invisible Sculptures.
I've told him not to be concerned, but he is a bit of a worrier.
The thing is, maybe this guy did invent invisible sculptures, but that doesn't mean there can only ever be one invisible sculpture – the unknown guy who invented cave painting never sued Leonardo da Vinci!
As the great artist Leonardo himself once said, 'Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication' – and you can't get much simpler than nothing!
Although, that Florida man does look pretty mean and angry…
