Busy Day
Heavy snow plus force 10 winds have taken their toll on trees.
There were many very old trees down in all sorts of locations, many across roads which were removed by professional tree surgeons asap.
This left the balance to amateurs such as ourselves to shift piecemeal.
We don't have a facility to burn logs but No1 son has a lovely multifuel burner which he uses to supplement his gas central heating, or is it the other way around!
So, a busy day today chopping, hacking, sawing, carrying, dragging and squirrelling away!
Mr sod was out today and as per his law...our 6 month old Stihl Chainsaw would not start...fuel had gone off according to the two chainsaw experts after sniffing a fuel covered finger (very scientific).
Oh well..time to keep fit and revert to old methods until chainsaw is fixed...hard work though.
We also met a very nice older (than me) man walking his two golden retrievers who turned out to be a wealthy landowner who lives nearby...he kindly said we can have all the fallen trees in his huge garden...No1 son is very excited!!
Turned out to be a very pleasant and fruitful day, though pretty tiring!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
