Mono Monday: Flower Power

Thanks to Doyely22  for hosting today's challenge. These are the flowers of one of the strange sempervivum plants I've taken to growing. In real life they're a slightly unnatural pink (extra, uncropped).

Early start - new dishwasher being delivered just after 07:00. Good service as it was only ordered on Saturday. There was next to no choice as most makes and models are indefinitely out of stock. The 'old' one was written off because the parts weren't available. It wasn't old at all. What a world to chuck stuff away like this.

At the other end of the scale the hall here is full of donations to the local Scottish Refugee Council's resettlement scheme. Families arrive from countries such as Syria with only what they can carry - next to nothing. They're provided with accommodation and basic furniture so they need everything else. Locally people have been so kind and the donations of bedding, lamps, kitchen equipment, children's toys and all the other things that make a home will be picked up from here later today.
