The luxury of time

Our boiler stopped boilering.
Luckily it’s summer (supposedly) and we have an immersion heater so we don’t need it at the moment.
I’ve been putting off having a look because, let’s face it, boilers have built up this image of being a bit daunting. But so long as you don’t touch the gas side they’re fine.
Anyway I was relieved to find the problem in a blown main board. So I ordered a new one and fingers crossed that’s the end of the story.
Last time I called a heating engineer he charged us five hundred quid - and he was rubbish to boot. So I’d rather have a look myself first.
