Homage to Morandi
A couple of years my wife and I took a painting evening class which proved, if nothing else that I had zero talent as an artist. We did however spend a fair bit of time looking at the work of Giorgio Morandi, an Italian artist who specialized in still life work. Over the weeks I came to appreciate the simplicity of his compositions and the tones he manages to draw out of everyday objects.
Another photo to fill a wet and dull Saturday whoever I may return to this type of shot again when I have a little more time.
