Cake for breakfast!

The family arrived from their Scottish holiday very late last night, surviving thunderstorms en route!
Eda was expecting a party as today is a special birthday for her ‘Boppa’! Yes a BIG one!

So there had to be cake. I was delighted to find a small GF chocolate cake in M&S and Eda’s focus here is on blowing out the candle on the left hand cake as she knew it was hers!

We had cake and strawberries for breakfast as we were all going out for lunch, including son Alex, and there wouldn’t be time for it later.

Grace found a nearby pub/restaurant that catered for Coeliacs when she was here last time and we had a really lovely lunch together before, sadly, they headed home to Bath.

Chris and Alex then repaired to the village pub to continue to celebrate with friends. See Corinthian Column extra
A pretty good birthday weekend and the man himself has enjoyed today. Oh and of course we had to have balloons! Extra
