It's bug week
I found a few interesting bugs while out drowning a sudden deluge of Japanese beetles. The bee is a brown winged striped sweat bee. Much larger than the little green sweatbees that liked my hydrangea last year. The extra is a zebra striped jumping spider( though with a slightly out of focus face due to wind and my penchant for not using a tripod). The one I did not post was a dogwood spittle bug. On the wild grapes. I also saw the first candy striped leafhopper of the year. And lady bugs! finally . And a milkweed bug also not where you would have expected but on the false sunflowers. A quick run for the camera n between drowning those horrid beetles and weed whacking and making the elder daughters white chocolate /white chocolate icing BDAY cake. Egad she is 32 today. Feeling ancient.
