Bales of hay
A trip to the Gate pub this evening for a refreshing glass of wine outside.
The field across the road had been mowed - blip 1 - and then we became aware of the whole baling process in action.
First a tractor pulling a baling maching to make the round bales - blips 2 and 3 - and then a second tractor following on wrapping the bales in plastic - blip 4.
Not how I remember gathering hay in the 1950s to make haystacks, and sitting on top of the wagons of hay pulled by the farm horse Sargent as he took the hay to the site of the haystack.
Was it better then?
