Helicopters and a walk

When I visited Mum today there was a red helicopter on the helicopter pad, which took off shortly afterwards.  I was really interested to watch how long it actually took to “get up to speed” before it could take off.  Sometime later it returned, but it was close to a wall that obscured my view, so I couldn’t see the activity that took place.  Then another helicopter (white) landed and the pilot stood and held onto one of the rotor blades while the first helicopter took off.  All very interesting. Later I walked into the city to meet hubby for a quick sandwich before we set off to walk home in the sunshine. The bottom photo is the view as we walked along Tamaki Drive.
