Greatham Sword Dance - Boxing Day 2012

Every year on Boxing Day the Redcar Sword Dancers perform at Greatham near Hartlepool.

It is believed that the sword dance, with elements of mummery, has a traditition in Greatham going back to the early part of the 19th century though the modern Boxing Day tradition dates only from 1967.
