Flower Friday - Gone but not Forgotten

These were lovely pink blossoms when I blipped them on April 20th. They’ve been sitting on my desk in the ‘Blip Corner’ since then and are all dried out.  I thought they still had some beauty and looked good sitting on a dried out plane tree leaf.

I was very sad when on the walk today to see that the gum tree that these blossoms came from had been cut down : (  It was a massive tree probably well over 100 years old and it found itself in the parking lot of a Dan Murphy bottle shop and I guess they didnt like it as much as I did!!
