Day 466 It's Abstract Thursday!

Today being 1 July and the first Thursday of a new month there is no set theme for AT, set by our regular host Ingeborg.  My pic started as a shot of a lavender bush, overlaid with some pink roses, edited to high key then given a twirl in the PS Elements filter waves.  I did then add a cinemascope fliter in Picasa.
In other news: nothing eventful here in our house.  Today is my friend Zeus09smum's birthday and also marks what would have been the 60th birthday of Diana Princess of Wales.  Her sons unveiled together a statue of her in Kensington Gardens.  The thought and gesture is lovely, but IMO the statue and accompanying words not so much. Still if the brothers are happy that is what counts.
