Stars And Stripes

Independence Day is on Sunday and for the first time in five years we have decided to make it something to celebrate.

We have invited two couples. One is Mr and Mrs Dog. The other is Ian and Joan R. I have mentioned both couples previously.

The preferred plan is to have a Barbecue in the garden, and I have been tidying the place up. The wild flowers are in profusion and it is slightly to soon to cut them back down.

The weather forecast is predicting rain on Sunday. We have a fallback plan for holding the feast indoors and have decorated appropriately inside with Stars and Stripes and the celebration Tree decorated appropriately.

We are watching Wimbledon in the evenings with occasional visits to The West Wing. What a series drama that is.
