Orchids

These orchids were a birthday gift from my late mother some years back. Since then one pot has become three, all in bloom. Last year they put out spikes too but some ornery critter chomped clear through the stalks. So this year the Resident Gardener was ready. When they were first in bud he moved them to the garden table and sprinkled white stuff on them. It has worked.

You don't get an idea of their size from the photo but they're not big. They are quite fleshy and what you can see is their delicate colouring.
