Is it a dog?

We visited the home show this morning hoping to find some ideas for bathroom remodeling. We didn't find anything that took our eye. I heard a small child asking if this was a dog. I missed the mothers answer as we were walking quickly trying to avoid making eye contact with the pushy exhibitors.
