High Brown Fritillary

We had an expedition to Arnside Knott today, looking for insects with Lynne . So pleased to see High Brown fritillaries, this one newly emerged and sitting very pretty. They seem to like the bracken areas.
We also called in on Jenny for a cuppa, and Pepper was delighted to see her! 
Another lovely sunny day, I don’t think it can last as my sister is coming to visit!
