Female Emperor Dragonfly

I managed to get outside for 3 hours this afternoon, to sit on the bench by our pond. Mrs M brought out my camera, so I could take insects on the flowers within a metre of the bench. I really needed a longer lens to take this picture, as this female Emperor Dragonfly had  landed on the other side of the pond, and I had to crop this image a lot.
