Seeking shade

Our walks have been shortened and are more shade seeking these days. Even the dogs are ready to take a rest when we get to this cool concrete bench.

Mom's health and engagement seem to be holding steady. She's not talking that much, but every now and then will respond to a question, especially if it's about something visual. I might say, "Isn't that a pretty rose bush?" And she might say, "Yes." Or I'll say, "See you in a couple days," and she'll say, "Okay." And that seems like a good conversation!
