Brief Blip, Big Class
Here are most of my classmates in the Silver Sneakers Cardio Circuit class at our Y today, gathered around our wonderful teacher, Tammy -- the person dressed in an inflatable Scottish kilt outfit, just for fun.
Her cumbersome outfit didn't stop Tammy from leading our hour-long class with her usual enthusiasm, and mades an interesting segue to her role in tomorrow's St. Patrick's Day Parade, honoring the Bellingham Fire and Police Departments -- she'll be the Grand Marshal (scroll down) and many of us will be marching in the parade as well!
I'm looking forward to the unique vantage point that being in the parade, instead of watching it from the sidewalk/pavement, will provide. I'll be at the monthly Bellingham Farmers Market early tomorrow so I can take photos there and buy some produce and other items, then walk over to the parade route to meet with the rest of my Silver Sneakers class. The route is only seven blocks long, but I won't be surprised if it takes us well over an hour to walk it, given the many other participants expected.
The parade ends at Boundary Bay Brewery -- an excellent plan!
(I'm writing this just before 8 pm on Friday, and the rain is pouring down. We are all hoping for no rain tomorrow! And I'm not going to commenting much for a day or two, but do know that I read your journals and enjoy your photos every day, even if I don't comment.)
