Llyn Padarn
It's been another lovely day, so I suggested to Alan that we have a drive into Snowdonia after dinner as I hoped to get a pink sky over the Lone Tree at Llyn Padarn. However after driving just a short distance along the coast we drove into very low cloud which was clinging to the mountains. We were in two minds as to whether to turn back, but decided to continue and I'm glad we did as once in Snowdonia the clouds had cleared and it was sunny.
We parked up by Llyn Padarn which was really busy with people on paddleboards, canoes and open water swimmers. We walked to the Lone Tree and there was a slight mistiness in the distance so it was quite atmospheric and I decided to take some mono shots which I really liked. I've added an extra of the same view in colour.
We then walked along the lake and climbed up to Dolbadarn Castle. Once we were at the top we could see the clouds starting to drop again, it's amazing seeing them clinging to the mountains. Sadly there was no colour in the sky tonight, but it was a beautiful evening and so calm and peaceful. We're really enjoying the light nights, it was still light at 10.30pm which is great and makes such a difference when you can go out in the evening.
Thanks for all your wishes for Rachel's dad, the CT scan showed that he has a pulmonary embolism which could have been very dangerous. He's now back home on anticoagulants but can't work or drive for 3 months and has to avoid anything that will cause stress.
