Much Cooler
We had a marine layer all day today - low clouds from the ocean that hung over the region and keep the temperatures in the mid-70's F (24C). It was absolutely delightful after the horrendous heat wave.
I went for a long walk this morning, followed by my time with mom. We did many word puzzles (I read the definitions, we work on the answers together). After lunch I headed home. We're having a neighborhood barbecue tonight since one of the neighbors is moving shortly and an old neighbor is passing through, moving from Washington to Florida. So it should be fun! And it's COOL!
These Monarda - Bee Balm - came fully into blossom in the heat...and got a little bit burned, but they look so lovely...and are doing their bee thing.
