I Love A Bargain!

When I saw strawberries reduced from £1.10 to 50p for 250g I could not resist and took eight packs for jam and another for tea - but I left many more packs for other bargain-hunters. These are 'Value Selection, which other shops might call 'Wonky Fruit', aptly so, as they included many unusual shapes, but perfect for jam.

This afternoon I made up two 800g batches in the microwave, using pectin, which gave a yield of about 3kg, with one pack unused - but that's okay as the Flumlet can enjoy them tomorrow
