My good friend Vicky who is president of UCU the academic trade union at the moment is in Yorkshire just now and called in to see me this afternoon. What a strange life she has had to cope with this last year or more. Hopefully it will be getting more straightforward for her (and the rest of us) in the weeks to come. Not exactly holding our breath on that one.
