Major work ahead

The paint on the windows of our conservatory is cracking and peeling badly. Also the glazing beads are pretty crabby with perished gaskets. After some procrastination I’ve decided that I need to strip off the cracked paint. Epoxy fill any cracks. Reprime and fit all new glazing beads and gaskets. Needless to say the window manufacturer has changed the window design and cannot provide replacement beads and gaskets. I have ordered wood cut to the correct size and will machine the beads at home. I’ve found a supplier for the adhesive coated rubber gasket and ordered some. I’ve also ordered the paint.
Just got to make 60m or 200ft of beads, paint them and fit them.
I briefly investigated replacing the windows in aluminium, I don’t think so - at £10kplus fitting!
