Hairy Allium

Dr. Seuss would love this flower.  It looks like a character from one of his books, it is so whimsical.  I like a bit of whimsy in the garden.  It is a new addition to the dooryard garden this year.  John is coming very early this morning to do a bit of weeding and cultivating.  Another brutally hot day but there is a chance of some rain this afternoon which will usher in cooler weather finally.  I'm really looking forward to that.  I haven't been able to use my porch because of the heat.
