Our Ramblers walk on Tuesday morning took us from Auchinstarry Marina up Castle Hill (pictured), the site of an Iron Age fort, then a wee saunter along to the Roman fort and bathhouse at Bar Hill and back to Auchinstarry via the Canal and the River Kelvin. It was sunny and warm.
Some of the group decided to give the wee climbs a miss and went round the lower paths, and we all met up again in Twechar for our mid-walk refreshment break.
My plans for the afternoon went out the window as one of my friends phoned to say she was planning to pop round, so we had a great wee face to face chat. Fair beats blethering on the phone for ages!
