Mittens McMittenface

This little one is the only one with a name so far .. it’s Mittens .. the kittens front paws are like mittens or as Lucy pointed out a bit like trainer socks .. mummy cat Duchess is an absolute delight , very friendly .. this morning she was waiting for me and it was joyous, she was winding in and out of my legs .. Jim said she was trying to bring me down and it’s a ruse .
We’ve given her a good brushing and all the filthy dead fleas are gone .. we obviously have to use flea treatment suitable for a cat with tiny kittens being fed and also we had to deflea the kittens before they die from blood loss , it does not take long on kittens , again it’s a specialist flea treatment for newborn kitts.
Then we gave Mum cat and the babies a good face washing to get all the grime out of their eyes . Mum didn’t struggle and actually seemed to enjoy it …the kittens behaved as if we were killing them , what a noise !!! Not 100% on the male female ratio of this batch yet but another week and my Lucy will give her verdict , she’s NEVER wrong .. the vets often have been though ;-))
